About me

Me performing poetry

Hi! I’m Natasha Tingle. Welcome to my WordPress! I’m a poet, performer, creative writer, tutor and community organiser living in Wigan. I’m a British Asian woman with physical and mental health disabilities. I’m upbeat, love to take opportunities and share my journey.

I perform as a solo artist and as part of Odd Socks, which is a collective of disabled poets in the North West of England. I run Inspire Aloud, which is a monthly social for writers working in all forms and genres. I also run a writing group in Wigan once a month, Notes With Natasha.

I have a background in mental health as an EBE, and in the past have run or helped facilitate a number of self-help groups. I am a dementia friend and an autism friend, have a current DBS and try to be as inclusive as I can be in my practices.

I have self-published a poetry collection under my old name. Open Book: Ink In The Rips. Contact me if you’d like a signed copy!

My book

In my blog you will find an account of my creative journey, with lots of photos, including times I’ve performed, groups I’ve run, prompts I’ve used, and everything else related to writing, performing and tutoring. [feel free to reuse my prompts with no restrictions] You will also be able to follow the development of my main works in progress. I plan to publish my writing through books rather than online, so you won’t find that much here.
